  • Festival Description: ‘Killing TV’ brings together 15 artists from different cultural and historical contexts to explore the interaction between contemporary art and television. The exhibition explores the role of TV and TV culture in arousing collective emotions and carrying cultural memory from the past, present and future. From videos that document works of performance art to sculptural installations, and from parodying TV shows to appropriating TV commercials, the range of works invites audiences to embrace artistic experimentation and discover unfamiliar formats and settings.
