  • Festival Description: Design District Hong Kong (#ddHK) is a creative tourism event that celebrates authentic culture and creativity, bringing unique local neighbourhoods in Hong Kong to life through design elements. This year’s theme, ‘Vivid Tsuen Wan’, leads visitors to explore Tsuen Wan, an emerging destination where history meets creativity, intangible cultural heritages blend with chic lifestyle, and vibrant cityscape coexists with natural scenery.
    The project brings together a few internationally and locally renowned creative units to produce colourful public art installations for Tsuen Wan which are displayed in different periods throughout the campaign. The participating creative units include art duo Craig & Karl (USA and UK), painter and illustrator Andy Rementer (USA), textile designer Masaru Suzuki (Japan), painter and sculptor Kila Cheung (Hong Kong), graphic designer Katol Lo (Hong Kong), installation design unit KaCaMa (Hong Kong) and ecological art and design unit Seika Studio (Hong Kong).
    Other activities include free themed tours, live performances, art and cultural workshops, and more.
