  • Festival Description: To celebrate its first anniversary, M+ stages
    Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now
    , which is the largest retrospective of Yayoi Kusama in Asia outside Japan. The exhibition features more than 200 works of various art forms across six themes: Infinity, Accumulation, Radical Connectivity, Biocosmic, Death, and Force of Life. The exhibition also showcases three new works of Kusama, including:
    Pumpkin (2022)
    : Two new large sculptures employing one of Kusama's most well-known motifs, yellow pumpkins with a black dotted pattern, are free for public viewing.
    Death of Nerves (2022)
    : A large-scale installation in the form of a colourful, web-like network. It references Kusama’s signature infinity nets and connects to the themes of Infinity and Death.
    Dots Obsession──Aspiring to Haven’s Love (2022)
    : An immersive environment filled with Kusama’s signature polka dots and reflective mirrors, together with large white dotted balloons suspended from the ceiling, provides a kaleidoscopic perceptual experience.
