  • Festival Description: “Phygital D”, an innovative series of dance performances in the physical and digital worlds, is one of the signature programmes of the large-scale art tech festival – “Creative Tomorrow”. Showcasing multimedia movement artists from Hong Kong and Asia, the programme blends dance, live physical performance, film, motion capture and virtual reality experiences. The highlighted performance “Indivisible Substance” by Japanese avant-garde artist Hiroaki Umeda, is finally coming to Freespace as a live in-person experience after 3 years of production. Umeda combines digital technology, capturing real-time 3D data of the dancer by Kinect camera, as well as various micro and macro data from point cloud data in the production, to weave the entire space into the choreography.
    This is a programme celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR.
