  • Festival Description: The layout of the Lantern Festival is designed by veteran film director and contemporary artist William Kan. Nearly 3,000 lanterns will be hung along the Tung Chung East Promenade while lantern installations including a giant ‘happy moon’ will also be on display. The Islands District Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival cum Celebration of the National Day will also be held at the Tung Chung East Promenade on the Mid-Autumn Festival day and the following day. Activities will include a
    hanfu
    experience, cultural performances, art workshops, lantern riddles and booth games.
