Festivals Event Name : New Territories West Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival Related Themes : Chinese Festivals Organiser(s) : Leisure and Cultural Services Department Festival Description : The theme of the New Territories West Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival this year is ‘Lotus Pond under the Full Moon’. The autumn breeze wafting through the moonlit sky soothes our busy minds. Members of the public are invited to visit the Tuen Mun Park and savour the views here around the lotus pond and the gurgling stream, appreciating lanterns featuring flowers in full bloom amid dancing butterflies. There are also traditional Chinese handicraft demonstrations and lantern riddles, as well as music and dance performances.
