Festivals Event Name : New Territories East Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival Related Themes : Chinese Festivals Organiser(s) : Leisure and Cultural Services Department Festival Description : The theme for this year’s New Territories East Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival is ‘Happy Reunion by the Riverside’. On these bright, moonlit nights, the Sha Tin Park turns into a festive playground with lanterns in the shapes of rabbit and other adorable animals. There’ll also be Chinese handicraft demonstrations, lantern riddles, as well as music and dance shows that are both traditional and innovative. Citizens and visitors of all ages are welcome to share the blissful moments together amid the lanterns and the stage performances.
