  • Festival Description: The Tai O Dragon Boat Water Parade has a history spanning more than a century and is held annually during the Dragon Boat Festival in Tai O. Three traditional dragon boats from local fishermen’s associations tow their sampans, carrying deity images from local temples and parade through all the waterways to seek blessings for the community. The activity was inscribed on China’s Third National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2011.
